Acronis Disk Director 12 is a set of powerful tools for optimizing the use of disk resources and data protection. With it, you can create disk partitions and manage them to store different file or operating systems on one disk, quickly recover lost or deleted data, reduce the time to create backup images and diagnostic tools, as well as improve the overall performance of the computer.

Key features:
Creation of basic and dynamic volumes. The convenient volume creation wizard has been enhanced and now supports the creation of dynamic volumes. Now, in addition to the basic volumes in Acronis Disk Director, it is easy to create dynamic volumes, which allows you to:
- increase the size of the volume in excess of the capacity of a single disk using the composite volume;
- reduce the time to access files using a striped volume;
- provide fault tolerance using a mirrored volume *.

Add, delete, and split mirror volumes. A basic or simple volume can be made fault tolerant with just one action - by adding a mirror. If additional unallocated space is required on a disk where one of the mirrors is located, remove the mirror. Divide a mirrored volume to get two independent simple volumes with identical original content.
Copy or move a volume of one type as a volume of another type. When copying or moving a volume, change its type. For example, the contents of a mirrored volume can be copied to a spanned volume.
Convert primary volumes to logical and vice versa. Convert the main volume to a logical volume to create the fifth volume on the disk, where there are already four main volumes at the moment.
Convert base disks to dynamic and vice versa. Convert existing basic disks to dynamic, which increases the reliability of the disk used as data storage.
Convert GPT disks to MBR disks and vice versa. Disk partitioning can be changed as required.
Import foreign drives. Dynamic disks added from another machine can be made available on the system.
Change disk status: from online to offline and vice versa. Change the drive status to offline to protect it from unintended use.
Disk cloning. Using the Disk Clone Wizard, you can replace the old basic MBR disk with a new one without reinstalling operating systems and applications. The wizard transfers all data from the source disk to the target. The volumes of the source disk can be cloned onto the target disk as one-on-one or resized automatically to fit the size of the target disk.
Disk and volume management operations. Listed below is a wide range of disk and volume management operations.

- Resizing, moving, copying, splitting and combining discs without
losing or destroying data.
