Autodesk Alias Products 2019.2 Update
Autodesk Inc. has released an update to Alias Products 2019. This update introduces several new features, fixes, and improvements, and addresses many customer reported crashes and issues.

Fixed Issues
General
- The Hide Unselected option no longer forces the current continuous tool to restart. (ALS-5008)
- Fixed issue that disables the Enter key after editing values in an edit cell. (ALS-5235)
- Fixed issue that prevents *.ICON files from generating when saving shaders from the Multi-lister. (ALS-4279)
- Fixed issue that causes the Delete Unused Layer operation to delete layers with a canvas image in it, and move the canvas image to the Default layer. (ALS-4755)
- Fixed Silent CER capabilities. (ALS-2664)
- Alias no longer crashes when exporting STL files on Windows 10. (ALS-4429)
Modeling
- Resolved issues with picking a curve-on-surface when it is too deep within a group hierarchy. (ALS-4350)
- Improved the Delete Construction History behavior to allow the deletion of commands that have only curve-on-surface targets. (ALS-4920)
- Fixed hanging issue when changing the surface span count while using the Align tool. (ALS-5317)
- Fixed the Proportional modification transform mode when using the Transform CV tool to allow the modification of a curve by distance (DIST) as designed. (ALS-5484)
- Corrected curve selection behavior for the Align tool that prevents you from picking a curve with shading. (ALS-5034)
- Corrected offset behavior when entering a negative Distance value in the Offset Control options. (ALS-5426)
- Corrected Duplicate Curve behavior so that the curve is duplicated without requiring confirmation when the Duplicate Curve options window is closed. (ALS-5595)
- Alias no longer crashes when using the Fit Scan command. (ALS-5428)
- Alias no longer crashes when modifying the skin range between symmetrical nodes after symmetry is turned off. (ALS-4979)
- Alias no longer crashes when using the Ball Corner tool's Continuity check option. (ALS-5498)
- Alias no longer crashes when deleting all shaders in the Multi-lister. (ALS-4912)
UI
- Fixed the Load Preference Set Options to import Shelves and Marking Menus together as their preferences are contained within the same file. (ALS-4922)
- Fixed issue with the Marking Menu Options that prevents tool and menu options from opening while editing the Marking Menu. (ALS-3790)
- Fixed an issue that causes the history metadata confirmation dialog to appear while working with the Offset tool. (ALS-5191)
- The colors of items selected in the Canvas Layer Editor and Construction Plane Editor can now be modified under User Interface Colors in User Colors. Items selected in the Canvas Layer Editor match the Creation Layer color, and items selected in the Construction Plane Editor match the Selected List Item color. (ALS-5422)
Data Management
- Checkpoints no longer occur while you are performing file operations to prevent crashes. (ALS-5153)
- Resolved inconsistencies in some previous versions of Alias that produced gaps between surfaces when importing data from CATIA. (ALS-3161)
- Resolved issues that cause Alias to crash when importing JT files. (ALS-4821)
- Fixed issue that prevents you from signing into the Vault Server after using the patch installer to update Alias 2019. (ALS-4655)
- Corrected behavior when loading preference set options that overwrites user preferences that are not selected to import. (ALS-4921)
Dynamo
- Dynamo now retains selections from node connections in Alias. (ALS-3935)
- Dynamo now remembers your Render Precision setting. (ALS-5190)
- Corrected behavior that forces you to manually browse for a saved wire file when the Dynamo script is relocated. (ALS-5332)
Alias VR
- Improved controller orientation for Windows MR devices. (ALS-4378)
- Improved stability when creating and viewing annotations in Alias VR:
. Resolved issues with the scaling and rotation of annotations when switching between variants in Alias VR. (ALS-5491)
. Fixed issue that causes invisible annotations in Alias to remain visible in Alias VR. (ALS-5122)
. Alias VR no longer crashes when creating annotations while viewing in Alias VR. (ALS-5414)
- Resolved issue with model previews in the Alias VR Viewer that prevents textures from displaying properly when you open the model from the Reference Manager. (ALS-4858)(ALS-4960)(ALS-4961)
- Corrected issue that prevents Multicolor Diagnostic Shading colors from updating in Alias VR when they are changed in Alias. (ALS-4995)
- Corrected inconsistencies between Alias and Alias VR with color display and shader properties in the Control Panel. (ALS-4996)
