SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Author is a Windows desktop application that enables the reuse of 3D CAD design data. You can import all major CAD file formats, then use the authoring tools provided to enrich the 3D as animated visual assembly and maintenance instructions, technical illustrations, parts catalogues, and sales and marketing literature. Visual Enterprise Author also supports the creation of hot-spotted 2D for use in online parts catalogues or interactive technical manuals.

Main features:
-Import CAD 3D or 2D (100+ formats supported)
-Create 3D step-by-step visual work instructions (assembly, repair, maintenance etc)
-Connect graphics to the business data
-Publish as lightweight interactive graphics to SAP DMS

This product also includes:
-SAP 3D Visual Enterprise core SDK. The SDK enables development of plugins/extensions for SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Author, SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Viewer, and SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Generator.
-SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Link. Windows desktop application that supports the creation of smart 2D graphics for use in online parts catalogues or interactive technical manuals.
