In this course I will introduce you to an employee handbook. I will give you the goal of having an employee handbook. I will explain to you why it is important to have an employee handbook. We will have a look at what is important to put in you employee handbook. I will do a short version of an employee handbook with you and have a discussion on why it is important to have certain policies in your employee hand book. The most important policy for me to include in your employee handbook is your company's disciplinary code and procedure, this policy will inform employees what is the procedures in case of a rule or procees that was not adhered too.Anothe important thing to mention in you employee handbook is information regarding salaries and benefits, it is always great for an new employee to have this knowledge on hand, as all new employees are pretty unsure about the salaries and payments. It is also a great idea to include an layout ouf your company in your employee handbook so that a new employee knows who is where. An organogram is another great piece of information to include in your employee handbook.
